Fall 2011 Rush Schedule
All fraternities at the University of South Alabama are governed by the Intrafraternity Council (IFC). The IFC oversees the formal rush process and has set forth certain rules that each fraternity must follow.
2011 IFC Recruitment Rules
* Formal Recruitment begins Thursday, August 25, and ends Sunday, August 28, 2011.
* Parties during IFC Fall Recruitment will be "dry". No alcohol will be present at any Recruitment function.
* To be eligible for Recruitment, a student must be accepted to the University and enrolled in a minimum of nine hours.
* Fraternity members may contact Potential New Members before and during Recruitment week. However, no meeting in fraternity houses, bars or adult entertainment establishments.
* Potential New Members must attend all parties scheduled in order to get to know more Fraternity men before making a decision.
* If a Potential New Member drops out of Recruitment, he may not attend any functions or associate with any Fraternity until Bid Day.
* Recruitment Counselors (Rho Gams), members who temporarily unaffiliate with their Fraternities, will be available to answer any questions before Recruitment begins and during Recruitment week.

USA Move-in Day
Saturday, August 20, 9:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Pi Kappa Phi helps freshmen move into the Epsilon dorms. JAGFEST is in the Mitchell Center. Visit the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity table and learn more about campus organizations.
IFC Formal Rush Events (Visit Each Fraternity On Campus)

Visit each fraternity. Attend special events and get to know the guys. Specific details can be acquired from individual chapters and will also be provided by the Interfraternity Council at all events.

Thursday, August 25, 5:30 p.m. Orientation and Open House, meet at _____, visit fraternities.
Friday, August 26, 5:30 p.m. Rounds, meet at _____, visit fraternities.
Saturday, August 27, 5:30 p.m. Chapter Planned Event, each fraternity has planned a specific outing, hang out with them for the day.
Sunday, August 28, 5:30 p.m. Bid Day, meet at _______, visit your top 2 fraternity choices. You will find out on this night if you receive an invitation to join our fraternity. Then you choose.
ΠΚΦ Bid Day Ceremony
Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 8pm.
Location: You will make your final choice on this night. You will find out information about
Associate Membership and the in's and out's of being a member of Pi Kappa Phi.
All Greek Convocation
Time and Date are TBD. All fraternities and sororities at USA will gather together
for a state-of-the-system address and to hear about upcoming events.
