On Friday, October 10, Pi Kapps volunteered with the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB) and the Mobile Lions Club for this year's Technology Expo. This was the third year for the expo and the guest speaker was Dr. Jeff Bohrman. Dr. Bohrman is both deaf and blind -- what a great inspiration to hear him share! The Tech Expo featured technology for people who have any kind of sensory impairment. The mission of the Technology Expo was to offer people who are vision impaired, blind, hard of hearing, deaf, or deaf/blind along with their families, vendors, professionals, and other stakeholders an opportunity to come together and share information and experiences regarding technology and adaptation in the common activities of daily life.

Gamma Phi brothers along with alumni Jay Hunt spent the day at the event and helped welcome guests, serve lunch and tear down afterwards. It was also a great time to meet representatives from many organizations that serve people with disabilities in Mobile, AL.
