A great beginning!

A big thank you goes out to brothers Christian Mehl, Matt Muir and Brad Moore who, in 1999-2000, had a vision for what the world wide web could do to serve the Gamma Phi chapter. 

Mehl says "I think I built the initial website back in 1999 (including 'Why join/I am a student/parent/etc' section), then I went to Germany. Matt Muir ΓΦ361 acquired the pikappaphifraternity.com domain, and built his own thing together with Brad Moore ΓΦ295, which included the Flash animation, the database with all the member and alumni information, etc."

They spent a lot of time, hard work testing and writing code to develop the first chapter website. Their website was cutting-edge and offered many features that set our chapter website apart from most any other chapter.  Mehl confesses, "I was the design-focused guy, whereas Matt was clearly the IT guy."

Their website served the needs of the chapter for many years. Without their foundational work this present effort would have been more difficult.  You will find several elements from the first website incorporated into this website. It is in the spirit of their vision that we continue to push the leading edge of new technology.
